Come vi avevamo anticipato, ieri su twitter Cassandra ha svolto una Q&A, rispondendo alle domande dei lettori come se fosse ognuno dei suoi personaggi. Eccole raccolte tutte in originale (e più sotto trovate la nostra traduzione in italiano):

” Magnus: why are you banned from Peru?” It had to do with llamas. Long story. (Really, that’s all you’ll ever know!)

Jace, would you say a shadowhunter weapon is more effective than a gun?” Depends what you are trying to kill. A person, probably a gun. A demon, a gun won’t work. (See City of Glass for why.)

For Jem: if the institute were burning, what do you like to save? and why?” Asssuming all the people are out, my violin. And Church, of course.

Clary, is it hard to keep your hands off of Jace when you’re talking to him?” Of course, but he’s used to it. Not just from me, but from passers-by, the guy at the deli, random teen girls… you know.

spoilers for COFA ” Seb- “why don’t you like to be called Jonothan?” It reminds me of my father and I hate him.

Tessa Whose the better the kisser, Will or Jem?” I’ve only kissed Will. Also that question is very improper.

Church: how many people have you bitten in your ornery life?” Church: *bites you*

Izzy, when did you consider dating Jace?” Uh, briefly, when I was about twelve. Gross.

Jem,(CA) Why dont u just let Wil, Charlotte and Henry Help you with ur problem.” Because they can’t.

Maia – If you could go back in time and NOT get bitten, would you, even though it would mean losing your pack & this life?” Maia: No, I don’t think so. I really hated it at first but now I like being stronger and faster. People like my brother can’t have power over me.

Alec, were you ever truly /in love/ with Jace?” Alec: No, I don’t think so. i used to think so but now I think Jace was probably right, it was a mechanism to help me not deal with having to try a real relationship with risks and worry.

Sophie, is there a deeper reason of why you don’t like Will?” Other than that he is rude and horrible all the time? Must there be more?

charlotte, dow did you and henry meet?” At a Christmas party. His father knew my father.

Will, do you hate love? Why would you want your feeling to be taken away?” I do not hate love. I can love. I love Jem. I love my family — in fact, I don’t see why I have to explain anything to you. You know nothing about me!

Luke, did you ever date anyone else besides Clary’s mom? Or have you just loved her so much and didn’t try with anyone else?” Never dated anyone else. Never tried with anyone else. Shadowhunters are like that, and I was a Shadowhunter before I was a werewolf.

Simon: Did you truly ever love Clary?” Yes, I did. Most people fall in love more than once though. I’m optimistic.

“Maryse: Knowing what you know now, if you could go back in time and not take in Jace so that Max could probably live, would you?” No. Not because I don’t want Max back but because I don’t believe you can play with fate like that. With no Jace, Valentine might well have won the Mortal War and Max would have died anyway.

Jessie, have you ever been in love?” No. I only ever meet Shadowhunter boys. So tedious!

Camille, if you could, would you get mangus back?” Certainly. I was quite fond of him and he is potentially very useful.

Jocelyn, will you always question the relationship between Clary and Jace ?” I should think recent events prove that I have very good reason to!

Henry: what’s your favorite invention?” I like thing thing, it does a bit of a whirly thing, and then it opens up and sort of blows up, so the problem is you really shouldn’t hold it. But I think I can fix that.

SPOILERS ” Kyle, would you join Luke’s group if Maia asked you?” And leave the Praetor? If she wanted me to…I would.

SPOILERS FOR COFA: Simon’s Mom: Will you ever understand and accept what your son is?” HE IS AN EVIL DEMONS FROM HELL.

Valentine did you ever loved your children? (including Clary)” Oddly, I preferred the one who wasn’t biologically related to me. The others were… ruined.

Chairman Meow: What is your take on glitter?” Tastes bad.

Jace, if you could be a weapon, what would you be?” When you have abs of steel and can make women swoon just by watching you play Scrabble, do you NEED to be a weapon? (All right, that’s 2 questions for Jace, no more!)

SPOILERS COFA Maureen, do you still have feelings for Simon?” I have feelings. All sorts of feelings, even down here in the dark. You wouldn’t believe the interesting feelings I have…

Ragnor Fell, were you ever an exotic dancer?” No, though I was briefly the director of entertainment on a cruise ship.

Magister (mortmain) , dont u feel silly trying to make tessa your child bride” She’s nearly seventeen. A perfectly normal age to get married. (Autres temps, autres moeurs)

Max: Do you blame your siblings for what happened to you?” It wasn’t their fault. They tried to protect me. I miss them.

Meliorn, I bet you regret being a jerk to Izzy! Am I right? She’s with a vamp now! You jelly?” Come and say that to my face, human girl, and I will cut you into small pieces and feed them to the ducks in the park!” (There, now we’ve ended on kind of a steroidy note.)

“You even worked a “never trust a duck” moment into it!” If I only have one message to pass to the youth of America (and other countries), that is surely it.

Jem,(CA): “Perchè non lasci semplicemente che Will, Charlotte ed Henry ti aiutino col tuo problema?” “Perchè non possono.”

Maia: “Se potessi tornare indietro nel tempo e NON essere morsa, ti piacerebbe, anche se ciò significasse perdere il branco e questa vita?” Maia: “No, non credo. E’ una cosa che all’inizio ho odiato sul serio ma adesso mi piace essere più forte e più veloce. Persone come mio fratello non hanno più alcun potere su di me.”

Alec, “Eri davvero innamorato di Jace?” “No, non penso. Lo pensavo, ma adesso credo che avesse probabilmente ragione Jace nel dire che si trattava solo di un meccanismo che avevo messo in moto per evitare di prendermi le responsabilità di una relazione vera, con i rischi e le paure che essa comporta.”

Sophie, “C’è una ragione più profonda per il fatto che Will non ti va a genio?” “Un’altra che prescinda dal fatto che Will è villano ed orribile per tutto il tempo? C’è forse bisogno di un’altra ragione?”

Charlotte, “Dove hai incontrato Henry?” “Ad una festa di Natale. Suo padre conosceva il mio.”

Will, “Detesti il fatto di provare amore per qualcuno? Perchè vorresti che i tuoi sentimenti non esistessero?” “Io non odio l’amore. Posso amare. Amo Jem. Amo la mia famiglia…e a dire il vero, non vedo perchè dovrei dare a te qualsiasi spiegazione. Tu non sai niente di me!”

Luke, “Sei mai uscito con una donna, a parte la mamma di Clary? Oppure semplicemente l’amavi tanto da non voler provare con nessun’altra?” “Non sono mai uscito con nessun’altra. Non ci ho mai provato. Gli Shadowhunters sono così, e prima di diventare un lupo mannaro, io ero uno Shadowhunter.”

Simon: “Hai mai amato veramente Clary?” “Si, l’ho amata. La maggior parte delle persone comunque si innamora più di una volta nella vita. Voglio essere ottimista.”

Maryse: “Alla luce di ciò che sai oggi, se potessi tornare indietro e non prendere Jace con te, così che magari Max potrebbe essere ancora vivo, lo faresti?” “No. E non perchè non rivoglio indietro Max, ma perchè non credo sia possibile giocare col destino in questo modo. Senza Jace, forse Valentine avrebbe vinto la guerra per gli Strumenti Mortali e Max sarebbe comunque morto.”

Jessie, “Ti sei mai innamorata?” “No. Incontro solo ragazzi che sono Shadowhunters. Quanto è frustrante!”

Camille, “Se potessi, ti riprenderesti Magnus?” “Assolutamente si. Ero davvero presa da lui, senza contare che è potenzialmente molto utile.”

Jocelyn, “Solleverai sempre obiezioni alla relazione di Clary con Jace ?” “Direi che quanto sta accadendo ultimamente prova che ho le mie buone ragioni per farlo!”

Henry: “Di tutte le tue invenzioni, qual è la tua preferita?” “Mi piace il tingting, fa una specie di turbinio, e dopo si apre e quasi esplode, quindi il problema è che non si dovrebbe tentare di tenerlo in mano. Ma penso di poterlo sistemare.”

Valentine: “Hai mai amato i tuoi figli? (inclusa Clary)” “Stranamente, preferivo l’unico a cui non ero biologicamente legato. Gli altri erano stati…rovinati, in qualche modo.”

Magister (Mortmain) , “Non ti vergogni di aver tentato di fare di Tessa la tua “sposa bambina”? ” “Tessa ha quasi diciassette anni. E’ in perfetta età da marito.” (Altri tempi, altri costumi)

Max: “Attribuisci ai tuoi fratelli la responsabilità per quello che ti è successo?” “Non è stata colpa loro. Hanno cercato di proteggermi. Mi mancano.”

Meliorn, “Scommetto che ti sei pentito di esserti comportato come un idiota nei confronti di Izzy! Ho ragione? Adesso lei sta con un vampiro!
